Contrary to the old myth, Faith Formation does not end at Confirmation, but rather is a life-long journey! In fact, the Church tells us that Adult Faith Formation is just as important, if not more important, than children's Faith Formation! Think about it.....children only attend Faith Formation classes for one hour a week, but they are around their parents all week! Therefore, if parents are LIVING OUT their faith and TEACHING their faith to their children, the children are learning and growing in their relationship with Christ far more than they ever could by attending class for one hour a week!

Also, the Church teaches us that the parents are the PRIMARY educators of their children's faith.....not their Catechist! Faith Formation classes are designed to supplement and assist parents in this role, not to replace parents altogether. In being the primary educators of their children's faith, parents are fulfilling the God's calling for the family to be the domestic church.

In obedience to Church teaching and because of our strong belief in life-long Faith Formation and transformation, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church offers many opportunities for adults to grow in their faith. To find out more about these many opportunities, click on the links above.
