As of October 10, St. Thomas Aquinas Parish has raised $1,887,420 toward our enhanced $2,000,000 goal for the diocesan Encountering Christ Campaign. This means we have less than $112,580 to raise to meet our enhanced goal! So far, over 300 families have made a commitment to the campaign. If every remaining STA family made a commitment to the campaign, we would surely exceed our goal!
We have exceeded the $1.31 million dollar goal set by the diocese. All monies received up to the $1.31 million dollar goal are split with 70% going to the diocese and 30% going to the parish. Funds received in excess of $1.31 million will be split with 70% of the funds coming directly to St. Thomas Aquinas and 30% going to the diocese.
We will be using our rebate for renovations, including upgrading the heating and cooling system, installing vital security updates, and improving the parish network infrastructure. It is not too late to join in this partnership! We remain hopeful that all households will assume an affordable commitment to ensure the long-term strength of our parish and the Diocese of Austin. Diocesan-wide this campaign will raise a minimum of $85 million to fulfill the vision of the Pastoral Plan and share in supporting local parish needs, supporting our clergy, strengthening our parishes, emerging disciples and embracing discipleship. Please take a moment to review the impact Encountering Christ will have on St. Thomas Aquinas and our diocese. We ask for your continued prayers for the success of this campaign.
Please bring your pledge card with you to Mass this weekend in the return envelope you received in the mail, or take just five short minutes to pledge online! PLEDGE HERE. God has blessed each of our lives in such unique ways. We pray your gift will provide you with the same personal encounter with Christ it will bring to so many. May God bless you and your loved ones abundantly.
