We are an organized group of parishioners with training and experience who focus on preparation for and prevention of crisis situations, working together to keep our parish safe.
Our purpose is to research and implement safety, security and emergency management guidelines for our parish.

We meet monthly on the third Tuesday at 6:30pm. If you are interested in joining us, please complete the Safety Team Interest Form at the bottom of this page.
Your Safety Team at Work

Campus Watch - Focusing on safety during Mass and parish events. Patrolling campus as necessary.
Training - Providing safety and crisis training for the parish.
Safety Team Training
We focus on safety and security at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, reviewing our safety team mission and tasks, door security, security cameras, and suspicious persons and packages on campus.
We use the Parish Emergency Action Guide to review:
- Persuasion techniques to help distraught or disruptive persons
- Active attacker response - Avoid, Deny, Defend
- Medical response - Basic first aid, CPR, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), and Stop the Bleed
- Fire Safety - How to protect lives and church property from a fire
- Severe Weather - Preparing people and property for dangerous weather
